# Search doesn't find a track

> Switch the search mode or paste a SoundCloud link

    Click the **What do you want to hear?** field at the top of the window. Faster: key **/** or **Ctrl+K** (**Cmd+K** on macOS).

  <Step title="Nothing found - switch the mode to SoundCloud">
    At the top of the search page click **SoundCloud**. Or click **Search on SoundCloud** when **Catalog** found nothing.

  <Step title="Have a link - paste it into search">
    A link to a track, playlist or profile on soundcloud.com works, short on.soundcloud.com links too. The page opens by itself.

| Mode | What it searches |
| - | - |
| **Catalog** (default) | Titles, artists, albums, users and song lyrics. Typos and a wrong keyboard layout are fine |
| **Vibe** | Describe a mood in words and get tracks that sound like it |
| **SoundCloud** | Live SoundCloud search, in SoundCloud's own order |

    By default the track you pick starts a wave of similar music. To play the search results one after another, open **Settings -> Audio -> Playback -> Playing from search** and choose **Search results**.

  <Accordion title="Search is busy, unavailable or slow">
    Wait a few seconds and try again. While one mode does not work, use another: **Catalog**, **Vibe** or **SoundCloud**.

    Still failing after a few minutes: [check the network](/en/fix/network-check).

  <Accordion title="Artist page: missing tracks, Coming soon, blue check" id="artist">
    **Missing tracks:** look at the tabs **Tracks**, **Appears on**, **Covers** and **Albums**.

    **Coming soon:** tracks from the artist's discography that are not on SoundCloud yet.

    **Blue check:** the project's server adds it automatically. It is not a SoundCloud verification, and you cannot request one.

    The app cannot do that. Paste the link into search.
