# Paid, but STAR is not active

> Usually signing out and back in is enough

<Steps>
  <Step title="Wait and open STAR again">
    Wait a few seconds and click **STAR** in the left menu. STAR is active if you see your name and the end date there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign out and back in">
    Click **Settings -> Account -> Sign Out**, then **Sign in with SoundCloud** and allow access in the browser. Downloaded tracks and settings stay.

    Sign in to the SoundCloud account you paid with: STAR is tied to it.

  <Step title="You paid through Boosty">
    In Discord, type `/sc-me`: it must show your SoundCloud profile. Another one is linked? Type `/sc-unlink`, then `/sc-link` with the link to your own profile. [How to link](/en/star/buy#boosty)

  <Step title="Still not there: open a ticket">
    On [Discord](https://discord.gg/xQcGBP8fGG), go to the **tickets** channel and create a ticket. New to the server? Pass the check in the **verification** channel first.

    Send in the ticket:

    * the payment date
    * the term: **Monthly**, **Quarterly** or **Yearly**
    * the link to your SoundCloud profile
    * the receipt or the order number

  Post an activation code, a receipt or an order number only in the ticket, never in public channels. Never send anyone your sign-in link.
